Russian language in Uganda has remained at infancy for a long time as its only spoken among Ugandan Alumni of Higher Educational Institutions of The Russian Federation and CIS countries. However, of recent there Is marked increase in Ugandans taking on Russian language lessons. The mainly stems from increased Ugandan students with interest to pursue further studies in Russia. The awarding of Russian State scholarships to Uganda is also seen as a catalysts for the growth and further compounded by increased interest in language acquisition from Ugandan business people seeking partnerships with Russian businesses.
Language courses
Russian language courses for beginners are currently conducted at SAC Training facility- one of the few in Uganda from where people can gain the knowledge of standard of Russian language.
Methodical Language Facility of Russian Language
Russian Language classes at Soyuz Africa Connections officially began in September 2020 during the period when COVID -19 epidemic was at its peak in the country. Its main aim is to provide quality education. Russian language Training facility at SAC in Kampala is however short of a methodical language laboratory that can improvise teaching -learning Russian language course at different levels, for example, participation in various cognitive, educational, cultural, social, scientific, business and other programs.
Nonetheless, other programs such as lectures, film shows interactive programs, round table etc. will be organized at not only at Soyuz Africa Connections but also in local educational institutions, like universities, colleges and schools.

SAC provides career guidance to students fresh from Ugandan secondary schools
SAC provides career guidance to students fresh from Ugandan secondary schools on the best types of education in terms of course-specialties they can opt for in higher education institutions of the Russian Federation.
These courses range from those sponsored by the Russian Federation, namely, Russian state scholarships awarded to Ugandan students to those offered as by individual Russian universities on private basis. Other education programs such as ALABUGA dual training scheme in Russia’s special economic zone for young females has taken a center stage as the most prominent and attractive among young female Ugandans seeking training in working professions and practices. Dozens of secondary school students are flocking to SAC offices to make inquiries on scheme and best specialties one should opt for.
