Today, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting Mr. George Zotov, a journalist from Russia’s widely read weekly newspaper, Arguments & Facts. This visit marked a significant milestone in our efforts to foster cultural exchange and strengthen ties between Uganda and Russia.

Mr. Zotov’s visit provided a unique opportunity to share insights, discuss current affairs, and explore potential areas of collaboration. We engaged in insightful conversations about various topics, including:

The evolving landscape of journalism: We discussed the challenges and opportunities facing journalists in both Uganda and Russia, particularly in the digital age.
Cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy: We explored ways to enhance cultural exchange between our two countries through journalism, media, and other cultural initiatives.
Potential collaborations: We discussed potential collaborations between Soyuz Africa Connections and “Arguments & Facts” to produce joint articles, documentaries, and other media projects.
We believe that such interactions are crucial for building bridges of understanding and cooperation between nations. We look forward to further strengthening our relationship with “Arguments & Facts” and other Russian media outlets.
